Overview

Project Summary

EDF Energy, blockchain company Electron, and other stakeholders piloted blockchain for peer to peer energy trading. Project CommUNITY (Community Urban Neighbourhoods Internal Trading of energy) took place at an apartment complex in Brixton, London. This pilot was formed using the UK Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (OFGEM) Regulatory sandbox.
