RemoteSpark
RemoteSpark is a remote subject matter expert (SME) application that integrates augmented reality (AR) using the Microsoft HoloLens 2 (HL2). The Remote Spark platform connects the field worker using a holographic mixed reality headset with a remote SME using a desktop PC or mobile device, which allows visualization of drawings and images (3D files, MS office and pdf) in the user’s field of vision. CAD files can be converted into interactive holograms and the remote SME can mark up and display images real-time in the headset. The remote SME may also view real time video and has voice communication with the field worker, facilitating guidance for troubleshooting or task execution. It utilizes enhanced security protocols and operates on extremely low bandwidth.
