Toronto, Ontario Canada

Company

2016

Enersion has developed a cooling technology that directly converts hot water into cooling using nano-porous materials instead of electricity, and by using plain water instead of synthetic refrigerants. We integrate our cooling system with photovoltaic-thermal panels to provide customers with Cooling, Heating & Electricity.

Emerging Technologies

Tri-Generation

Enersion has developed a novel cooling technology that converts heat to cooling and does not use harmful synthetic refrigerants. We utilize nano-porous materials in a surface physics phenomenon called ‘aDsorption’ to replace mechanical compressors used in conventional systems that consume large amounts of electricity and have high GHG emissions. Enersion's system provides reliable and clean cooling using low-grade heat as an input, and plain water as the refrigerant. The system is powered by sustainable means, such as photovoltaic-thermal panels or natural gas CHPs, where the waste heat is converted to cooling, and the electricity is supplied to customers.
