Overview

Project Summary

Hanson UK, a subsidiary of HeidelbergCement, demonstrated a 100% low-carbon fuel mix consisting of hydrogen, biomass components, and glycerine at its Ribblesdale cement plant. The commercial-scale project was led by the British Mineral Products Association and Hanson UK with funding from the British Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy.
