Project Summary
The DTE Energy SmartCurrents Project was an effort to upgrade the largest electric utility grid system in Michigan with distribution automation, advanced metering infrastructure, and a distribution management system. This was done within the scope of a two-year consumer behavior study that documented the effects of dynamic peak pricing and customer education on overall consumer energy consumption and demand response.
