Project Summary

The Burbank Water and Power (BWP) Smart Grid Program, located in Southern California, aims to combat the challenges of renewable energy integration to the grid. It demonstrates the use of smart meters, communications infrastructure, outage management system, distribution automation, time-based rate programs, advanced customer service options, demand response, and electric vehicle charging stations.
