Impact of extreme events on power production at the scale of a single wind-farm
Overview
Project Summary
National Grid has completed a study designed to determine how a variety of meteorological factors can affect the predicted power output of a wind turbine. Previous models could use only collected metering data and wind speeds and were therefore not useful for predicting the output of a planned wind farm.
