Project Summary
Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L) is evaluating the performance, operations, maintenance, and economics of solar electricity generated from a utility-scale PV plant along with its electrical and economic impact on nearby distribution feeders. The project seeks to answer strategic research questions about renewable generation and integration of utility-scale plants on the power system. Specifically, this project analyzes KCP&L’s Greenwood Energy Center Central Solar Station.
