Overview

Project Summary

The purpose of this project is to advance the deployment and grid integration of distributed solar resources through the use of energy storage, smart inverters, and modeling techniques via a pilot demonstration of an integrated solar, storage and controllable loads solution.

The project intends to demonstrate how an integrated community-scale solar-plus-storage system can substantially reduce the energy and carbon footprint of a low-income, multifamily community in disadvantaged areas, demonstrating the feasibility of achieving zero net energy at a community scale.
