Rumbling Bridge Community Hydro Society is located near the small village of Rumbling Bridge, Kinross Scotland. The society has 664 members who have all invested upwards of £250, including local people and supporters of the wider renewable energy community. The energy community consists of two hydro turbines on the River Devon with a total installed capacity of 500 kW. It began generating clean, green electricity in September 2016. It will bring several benefits to the community including: attractive financial return to members, extended economic benefits for the local area, educational support on environmental issues and environmental benefits for the local commmunity.
