Overview

Project Summary

National Grid engaged in a study to determine how susceptible various types of distributed generation are to higher rate of change of frequency (RoCoF) brought on by greater asynchronous generation. The goal of this study was to determine how to revise protection settings to avoid distributed generation losses during frequency deviation events.
