Overview

Project Summary

The Cooperative FTI (Fernheizkraftwerk Toblach Innichen) of Dobbiaco-San Candido in Trentino-Alto Adige region was founded in 2003. It consists of a biomass power plant with an electric capacity of 1500 kW, that feeds the Municipalities of Dobbiaco and San Candido, Italy. This model is based on ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) and represents one of the biggest in Europe as well as the first one to be installed in Alto Adige. FTI has 948 shareholders and 1700 users fed by a district heating system.
