Project Summary
Farmarenergi i Eslöv AB consists of a joint cooperation of nine farmers that provides small scale local district heating based on renewable energy (wood chips). The company provides local heating to Eslov municipality through a closed network. The system is composed of a boiler with a capacity of 600 kW (annual production of 2,000 - 2,500 MWh/year) and a prefurnace (495 kW). The company got a long-term agreement of 15 years with the municipality. The price is divided into two parts, a fixed and a variable, both index-linked. Furthermore, two of the farmers also invested in PV installations with an yearly energy production of 70,000 kWh. Electricity from solar farms not consumed is sold to Kraft Energie.
