Lyckansberg's solar cell plant was put into operation on 18 April 2018. The plant produces electricity for the association's common purposes such as lighting, laundry rooms, saunas and other functions in the association's premises. At certain times, the production of electricity will give a surplus, then that electricity is sold online. At other times, the association will have a higher need than what the plant produces, then electricity is purchased from the grid. The plant produces about 55,000 kWh yearly. Guaranteed life is 25 years on solar cells. The association has been granted 30% in support of the investment from the state solar cell grant. The cost of the investment before the grant is approximately SEK 800,000.
